BigMagicThis book reminds me of the kids’ book
“If you give a Mouse a cookie.”
You read this book and you will feel all froufrou and warm inside. So you will sit down to meditate and wait for the world’s cosmic energy to hit you with an idea, as Liz Gilbert promises it will.
While you’re sitting there waiting for a sign, you’ll start thinking about the laundry. Might as well do a load of laundry rather than sit here, so you’ll do a load of laundry while you wait for the cosmos to visit. After all, maybe the cosmos is taking a shower right now. Wait, maybe I should be in the shower to hear the cosmos. But,
Wait, maybe I should be in the shower to hear the cosmos. But usually, I only take a shower in the morning after working out. Working out clears the brain and makes a path for the cosmic forces, so I’ll put on yoga clothes and go for a run. Oh, there’s my yoga mat! A little yogic stretching sounds good and will keep me inside, just in case Cosmo rings the cosmic

Oh no, my brain is wandering. Maybe I should try some meditation to calm it down…
In short, it was a good book, but I didn’t actually learn anything.
